The Rucksack Project

Join in this project this Christmas!

The Rucksack project is a movement not a charity, it is an action, and involves no money or funding, to be received or taken.

rucksackjpegThe Rucksack project is a worldwide movement and is about offering some warm and thought for the homeless street people sleeping rough through the harsh winter months.

Here is what we are inviting you to get involved with this year.

1. Collect all or some of the following items:

a. Sleeping bag

b. Socks

c. Underwear

d. Jumper

e. Fleece

f. Hat / Scarf / gloves

g. Ring pull tins of soup

h. Spoon

i. Or a flask of hot soup
2. Place any or all of the following items into a rucksack and bring the rucksack to Church On the Way corner of Duesbury Street, Princes Avneue, Hull, on Saturday 21st December 2013 on or after 5pm.

As it is the season of good will a group of local young people from the Freedom Road Creative Arts Group will be there to entertain us with Christmas Carols, all rucksack donations will be rewarded with a mince pie and a festive tot of mulled wine.
What Happens next???

The rucksacks will be delivered to people sleeping rough on the streets of Hull.
